New .au direct domain names are now available and we highly recommend that you register yours today.

At this stage, I don’t recommend that you change your primary domain, however, there are two very good reasons to register yours today:

1. Cybersecurity – stop cybercriminals from registering domain names similar to yours for phishing attacks and other nefarious activities (reference: ACSC)
2. Competitors – stop them from registering domain names that are similar to your primary domain

If you hold a domain name in any other .au namespace (eg. com.au, org.au, id.au etc.), created prior to 24 March 2022, you are able to apply for Priority Status to register its exact match in .au direct until 9:59AM AEST September 21st.

If you do not do this, it will be become available for registration by the general public at 8:00AM AEDT October 4th.

To register your .au direct domain, simply log into our domain portal (https://dependabletechnologies.partnerconsole.net/) and submit your registration order.
